To gain confidence on my iRocker Sport inflatable stand up paddle board (SUP) I challenged myself to move about more on the board. Step back turns, literally stepping back on the board to shift your weight, make turning so much easier, but they do take a bit of practice.

These were my first attempts. Paddling a SUP is so relaxing it would be easy just to cruise around without learning these useful skills, but if like me you're new to paddleboarding I'd definitely recommend trying it. It's since made me much more confident on the board and also gets you to start practicing paddling in surf stance without really noticing that you're doing it!

The first steps are the hardest, after that the learning curve is pretty quick. Let me know how you get on!
