Ben Lomond is a mountain located in the Scottish Highlands, on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond. It is the most southerly of the Munros, which are mountains in Scotland over 3,000 feet (914.4 meters) high.
The peak of Ben Lomond reaches 3,196 feet (974 meters) above sea level and is accessible via several hiking trails that lead to the summit. The most popular route starts at the Rowardennan car park, where visitors can follow a well-marked path that winds through a forested area before ascending steeply to the summit.
The climb to the top takes around 3-4 hours, and hikers are rewarded with stunning views of Loch Lomond and the surrounding hills and valleys. On clear days, it's possible to see as far as the Isle of Arran and the mountains of the Western Highlands.
