Technology has always played a role in human community building: fire was arguably one of the first technologies, and was the first notable place humans gathered in community to share stories; writing gave us community building through the rapid dissemination of ideas, first through more primitive methods, and eventually via newspapers and books. More recently, the Internet has given would-be community-builders potent new tools—but whether those tools will ultimately serve to build or tear-down community remains to be seen. John is a seasoned business leader and technology entrepreneur, with almost two decades of experience running and growing technology businesses in all economic climates. John spent 10 years building Clickability, the leading web content management software-as-a-service business.
