What IS the best charcoal for grilling? This week, Colin is going in for a second round of charcoal experimentation, testing no name brand briquettes, Tosa binchotan, Knifewear Ogatan, and Knifewear Shirozumi charcoals for heat, ease of use, and burn time.
NOTE: We used a FLIR infrared thermometer that maxes out at 280C (shown in photos) but supplemented with a digital thermometer that goes up to 1500C.
