An incredible timelapse video recorded in Hamburg, Germany, shows how a cruise liner is extended -- by cutting it in half. The Norwegian Crown is pulled into dock, where engineers split the ship in two. A 99-foot extra section is then added in, to accommodate extra cabins and more entertainment areas. The paintwork is completely stripped and re-done, with the ship's new name then unveiled -- the Balmoral. The extra section means the 1988-built boat can now carry around 1,400 passengers -- an increase of a third. The Balmoral is part of the fleet belonging to Fred Olsen Cruise Lines. Report by Charlotte Cross.
