This EDC power Module came about from the need to have a lght weight, external battery pack which could charge or maintain our HT radios, and FT-817ND.
The core of the module is the Anker Astro Pro2 20A external battery pack. It has three Power IQ USB ports, one 9/12v DC output, and one DC12v charging port. One of its key functions is its ability to power devices, and itself be charged simultaneously.
In the video we show testing done with the Baofeng UV-82L, Yaesu VX-5R, Yaesu FT-817ND, and various USB powered devices. Performance was as expected, and no problems were encountered during testing of any of the comms gear.
Food for thought. Amazon has a second version of the Anker Astro Pro2 now. It has a single USB port, and two DC outputs, but capacity and functionality are the same.
The Anker Astro Pro2 can be charged with a cigarette lighter plug from a wallwart, from a solar panel, power supply, order any number of DC power sources.

Ultimately, I decided to make my own cables for my various radios and electronic devices. I used barrel connectors and powerpoles to continue my Lego block approach to system interoperability. this is working well, as dissimilar products from various manufacturers, can be used as if they were made by a single entity.
I'll report on the long term robustness of the Anker Astro Pro2 as time goes on.
sadly the anchor to is no longer available, and no cost-effective solution has been found. so I decided to start my own project [ Ссылка ]
