In this video i compiled a few time lapses together to show the painting process.
From the day the car was dropped off, there is about 80 hours into this job including the body work, prep work, priming, and the painting process.
Just a quick breakdown of materials used and hours spent on some of the major pieces:
Paint used was PPG sealer, PPG shopline+ AG2 Aztec Red, HOK USC01 show clear.
Molding the hood took about 20 hours to complete. Shaping and blocking the rear overs and fixing with bondo took about 15 hours. Misc body work with small dings, fitting the rear lip and welding the wiper hole shut took about 25. And took about 20 hours for taping up, finishing prep touches, and actual painting. Started taping and cleaning the car Friday night. Came in Saturday at 10 am, stopped spraying the car and parts around 11PM. Sunday reassembled the car. All that's left is to respray on 3 pieces and cut and buff some spots. Then she is ready for an event!
