The first stop in Iceland during our cruise on the Island Princess brings us to Reykjavic, Iceland's capital city. Just a 45 minute drive from the city, you will find Thingvellir National Park and the separation between North America's tectonic plate and the Eurasian tectonic plate. Here, you are able to snorkel the fissure (Silfra). Glacier water lies here and is nearly freezing! The water takes 80 years to be filtered through volcanic rock making it the clearest water in the world!
