Thursday's drills involved 12-thousand troops and featured practice launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles as well as warships and strategic bombers firing cruise missiles at test targets in the Barents and Caspian Seas.
The drills, ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, come as tensions between the United States and Russia linger...after the Trump administration withdrew from their Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty in August.
