인도네시아 대선 여론조사 결과 수비안토 후보 승리 유력
In Indonesia, presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto has declared victory following a "quick count" of votes from Wednesday's presidential election. Unofficial "quick count" tallies by independent pollsters showed Subianto winning with more than 55 percent of the vote.
As the official tally result by the election commission is yet to be released, Prabowo's rivals, Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo have not yet conceded defeat. After Prabowo declared victory, Baswedan commented “We will wait until the official result, and we will respect it,” calling on supporters to monitor the official count.
The Election Commission's official count is expected to be published within the next 35 to 40 days.
To win, a single presidential candidate needs to get at least 50 percent of the votes cast. If 50 percent is not met, the top two candidates will compete in a run-off. The new president will be sworn in on October 20th.
