A common fly casting error is caused by forward creep. As the line is still unrolling to the rear, the caster begins creeping forward in anticipation of the next casting stroke. This "creep" effectively shortens the casting stroke and the angler must compensate by adding extra power which, in turn, causes other problems such as tailing loops.
FFF Casting Instructor Capt. Chris Myers explains and demonstrates this casting error in regular and slow motion as part of his how to fly cast series.
