ABOUT KIM'S CONVENIENCE:
"Kim's Convenience" depicts a Korean Canadian Kim family that runs a convenience store in the Moss Park neighbourhood of Toronto: parents "Appa" (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) and "Umma" (Jean Yoon) – Korean for dad and mom, respectively – along with their daughter Janet (Andrea Bang) and estranged son Jung (Simu Liu). Other characters include Jung's friend and coworker Kimchee (Andrew Phung) and his manager Shannon (Nicole Power). The series is based on Ins Choi's 2011 play of the same name. Mr. and Mrs. Kim have worked hard to give their now-twenty-something children, Janet and Jung, a better life in Canada. This comedy finds laughter in the trials of running a literal 'Mom and Pop' shop while raising kids in a culture not quite your own.

"CBC 오리지널 시리즈 “김씨네 편의점” 은 토론토 다운타운에서 편의점을 운영하는 가족의 재미있고 진솔한 이야기를 담은 시트콤이다. 시즌 5 에서 그들은 엄마(진 윤)의 까다로운 병 진단에 대처해 나가며 최대의 고비를 직면한다. 가정에서 더 큰 책임을 맡게 된 아빠(폴 선형 리)와 이제 갓 대학을 졸업해 집으로 돌아온 재닛(앤드리아 방)의 사이에서 생기는 피할 수 없는 신경전. 한편, 정(시무 리우)의 경영 공부를 위해 떨어져 지내는 시간은 그와 섀넌(니콜 파워)의 관계를 흔들어 놓고, 김치는 그의 가족과 고등학교 짝사랑과의 관계를 다시 이어나가기 시작한다.
