Georgia based rapper from the country, Cymple Man, has released his new single and music video for "The Sicks" featuring The Lacs. The video was directed by Breadwin Deville and shows the entire Dirt Rock team getting wild in the backwoods of Blackshear, GA to show their country roots.
"Sticks" appears on Cymple Man's brand new album "Been It” which hit digital music platforms via Dirt Rock Empire today. The album showcases Cymple Man's intricate wordplay and cadence, mixed with his unique storytelling abilities that keeps listeners captivated.
"Been It” is the follow-up to Cymple Man's 2018 debut solo album "Higgs Field" and spotlights his unique rhyming ability and wordplay as he graduates from the school of hip-hop. Joining Cymple Man on his journey into the rap mythos are fellow Dirt Rock brethren The Lacs, as well as Hard Target, Dusty Leigh and Overtime. The production for the album was also completed in part by Dirt Rock’s own Wess Nyle.
Born and raised in small Pierce County, GA; Dustin “Dusty” Bennett (his last name inspiring the album title) adopted the moniker of Cymple Man because he is a man of the people. His music is the soundtrack of regular 9-5 blue collar workers who want to crack a cold one and let loose after a long hard day. In the early 2000’s, Cymple Man had a dream come true when he worked in the same Atlanta studio that Outkast had recorded in, and then in 2016 he joined forces with country superstars The Lacs along with Hard Target and Wess Nyle to form the new country rap supergroup Racket County. The group would go on to produce tracks with a combined over 5 million views on YouTube, proving them a force to be reckoned with in the scene. After being consistently part of a group, Cymple Man broke out and debuted his solo career with "Higgs Field". The album spawned the viral hit "WTF", which has since generated nearly 500,000 Spotify streams. The video, which hilariously depicts a keg party inside a laundromat, has almost 400,000 views. The album also shined a light on Cymple Man's unique rhyming ability and his wordplay that makes him a true student of the school of hip-hop.
During the past year, while the whole world was on pause battling a global pandemic, Cymple Man stayed active releasing new videos that showcased his blue-collar sense of humor. He took the Survivor classic, "Eye Of The Tiger" and used it to parody the hit Netflix series, Tiger King. His follow-up video was written in homage to the classic comedy "Talladega Nights” and the track was aptly named "Ricky Bobby" after the film's iconic main character depicted by Will Ferrell. It was filmed in a parody style, and kept with the theme throughout; showcasing Cymple Man and Hard Target running amuck in a grocery store as they flip hilarious catchphrases from the movie into hip-hop lexicon.
