Amanda and Alex are running away from the anaconda, still chasing them. Jackson's group sees them running and sees the anaconda. They are about to run when Roland decides, by an act of bravery, to sacrifice himself and rushes in front of the anaconda, shooting all his revolver munitions on it. But the anaconda eats him alive. Back at the camp, the girls are calling for help when Patrick arrives and passes out, his arm cut.

What’s the movie Anacondas: Trail of Blood about?
Herpetologist Amanda Hayes (Crystal Allen), the sole survivor of the previous snake attack, finally learns her employer Peter Murdoch's (John Rhys-Davies) true colors when he hires a doctor to harvest a fresh supply of blood orchids, to experiment with the regenerative nectar on a baby snake in order to seek treatment for his own terminal illness. A baby anaconda is used for an experiment by Peter Reysner (Zoltan Butuc), which enables the anaconda to grow very large and live longer, and creates a serum for cell regeneration. After the test works for the long anaconda escapes from the cage and kills Peter in a mine filled with blood orchids. Murdoch sends his assassin Eugene and his team of mercenaries to find Peter and his serum so that it can cure him. Amanda is forced to secretly bring together another team of scientists who face off against the heavily armed squad of Murdoch's men to steal the coveted orchids before the killer Anaconda hunts both parties down.
