For its 1970s incarnation, A Star is Born swaps movies for rock and roll drafting superstars Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson for the lead roles of talented young singer Esther Hoffman and seasoned rock veteran Norman Howard. Paul Williams, Kenny Loggins, Leon Russell and more worked closely with Streisand on the songs, resulting in one of the most popular movie soundtracks ever.
