Previously known as 'Arirang' mass games, the North Korean mass games made a tremendous comeback in 2018 under the name of 'Glorious Country'.
What are the Mass Games?
► The Mass Games are an enormous performance featuring dancing, gymnastics, martial arts, music and more with over 100,000 performers. Formally known as the Arirang Mass Games until 2013, this unique art form came back in new form in 2018 and is known as the Glorious Country Mass Games.
Koryo Tours took over 400 tourists to the performance season in September-October 2018. As one visitor mentioned: "It was an overwhelming spectacle, something that will remain fixed in my memory".
