Down a small lane off a slightly busier road, deep within the suburbs of Bangkok, Thailand, South East Asia, lies a place I like to call the old curiosity hall of antiquities and treasures; a veritable grotto of delights, memories, tatt and collectibles. A wander through Papaya Studio is almost a wander through your childhood.
On the day I filmed, there was some building work going on and the drilling was incessant. I have therefore turned this video from a 50 minute one-take wander through the ever-changing smorgasbord of oddities on display here, into a musical and whimsical journey through one of my favourite spots in the Big Cock aka Bangers, Krung Thep, the Big Mango, BKK... Welcome to the kitscher side of Bangkok.
