Have you ever questioned whether what you know and do is good enough as a user researcher? Is your team taking your insights seriously and significantly? Being a qualitative-focused user researcher, Yagmur has often dealt with imposter syndrome.
This talk is aimed to provide examples of what imposter syndrome could look like to a UX researcher --especially as a team of one. Yagmur will share her experiences in dealing with and overcoming imposter syndrome and provide guidelines and frameworks that worked for her to build confidence in oneself as a researcher.

Speaker Bio:
Yagmur Erten is a qualitative user researcher with a background in behavioral psychology and business management. Her passion for accessibility design led her to pursue a master's degree in HCID at UW in 2019. Currently working at BuzzFeed as a Sr UX Researcher, her background and experiences in the field helps her to collaborate and empathize with designers, PMs, and engineers to build meaningful, influential, and beautiful products for all users.
