I would be willing to argue that you could spend an entire lifetime fishing for these little desert trout and learn something new each time. The environments they live in can vary so much and will always bring new conditions to the table. This is by no means the exact blueprint on how to fish for Gila Trout. In my opinion there is no RIGHT way to do any sort of fishing. (that is a whole different conversation) BUT this will be a boiled down look at 2 days of hard fishing. Where ever you find yourself fishing it is always good to know the basics. By the end you should have a fairly good idea what to expect whenever you make your way to the Gila National Forest.
