More so a blend of Bordeaux grapes and wines as opposed to the true Claret, this wine has young, vibrant characteristics on both the nose and palette of dark fruit, subtle vanilla, subtle coffee or spice, low tannin and high acidity, low burn down the throat, would recommend this wine to someone new to drinking red wine; it's not overpowering upon consumption and doesn't dry out the mouth. I felt it was quite refreshing and will probably consume the entire bottle by the end of tonight.
