Having shot with tiny Micro Four Third camera and lens combo's for some years, one thing I've never been a fan of with the Full Frame cameras I use for astrophotography is the size and weight of the available lenses with fast apertures. So it really got my attention when I saw Samyang add a 35mm f/1.8 lens to their Tiny Prime line up for the Sony E-Mount designed specifically to take advantage of the mirrorless system. I placed an order as soon as it became available locally and It arrived just in time for the end of year madness which delayed me in getting out to shoot the stars with it. I finally managed to do so and this video is my initial impression of how it performed with the various aberrations common to astrophotography.
