Is there a goal that you’ve been working toward since you were a child?
Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, says that his life goal is to help people rise out of poverty. He is accelerating Africa’s development through agricultural innovation and good governance. In his own words:
“I know poverty is not pretty and nobody wants to be poor. So, I grew up with that as my life ambition. That’s what I wanted to do with my life. To help others, to get hundreds of, millions of people out of poverty, to make sure that we are not transferring poverty from one generation to the other, and to make sure that we are creating hope and better life for people all the time.”
