IDF soldiers battled Hamas rocket ambush squads inside Gaza City. Video shows Israeli reserve battalions and paratroopers going street-to-street in Gaza, clearing out Hamas bases, tunnel networks and ammo dumps, while also taking out their commanders. Hamas footage showed jihadists using shoulder-fired rockets to ambush the Israelis, but without managing to stop the advance. Israel is now pushing deep into Gaza City, having surrounded it. And attention is about to turn to the south of the strip as the IDF issued an evacuation order for the city of Khan Younis.
