I was moved to write this song as a reaction to seeing the devastating impact that addiction, particularly the current opioid epidemic, has had on family and friends of all walks of life. This is a dark subject matter, so recording and editing the video was a very emotional experience for me, but it’s a reality that cannot and should not be ignored.
