Following the UX workflow can be hard from time to time but with the double diamond approach you can do that very easily. In the beginning you want to get to know everything about a problem or question. Once you have collided enough ideas you shrink it down to one main problem you want to focus on.

Then you move on to the second diamond and there you will also again create as many ideas as possible around the solution. But during the implementation you focus only on the best ideas.

Due to that process you will create a solution that matches the ideas of the users as long as you take care of a user centred design!
