HIYA! Here is the full demo tape, which could be considered an EP or Mini-Album, named "THALIDOMIDE IN BEDROOM", by Japanese visual-kei darkwave solo project KALMIA. It is the final demo tape he released as a solo artist, since a little over three months after its release, he would form the legendary darkwave duo VELVET EDEN, together with vocalist DADA.
After he quit VELVET EDEN, KALM quit the music scene for a long time, but composed/produced some tracks from time to time for other artists such as BLAM HONEY and Kaya. He never joined VELVET EDEN again, but he did help them a bit during their post-2010 revival, by writing some songs, such as "One Caress" and others.
Tracklist:
00:00 - 01 - Intro (Untitled)
02:55 - 02 - MORE
07:57 - 03 - PLASTIC BRAIN
13:18 - 04 - 禁じられた花 (Kinjirareta Hana) (ENG: Forbidden Flower)
19:25 - 05 - MURDER
23:37 - 06 - Outro (Untitled)

KALM got better and better with every release he made. I own three demo tapes of his solo project before VELVET EDEN, and each one is better than the last. This last one, THALIDOMIDE IN BEDROOM, is definitely the highlight. But the others are amazing too.
And after this tape, in VELVET EDEN, he kept getting even better and better, to the point where his work in VELVET EDEN isn't just great or amazing, it's genius, and I don't say this easily.
Enjoy this little piece of history, VELVET EDEN before it was VELVET EDEN. It has so many elements in common with VE, that it could be seen as an extension of their discography.
The graphic design of this tape is amazing too, both the cover, but also the lyrics card inside are so extremely beautiful.
Here's a photograph I posted on Twitter showing this tape and two flyers:

It's one of my favourite items from my collection. It was also very expensive! But the tape is so extremely rare that I know no one else who has it, and that I have only seen it once for sale in the past 8 years, and that one time was when I got it.
A flyer lists it as being 444-limited, but maybe it sold poorly, or stopped being sold after VELVET EDEN formed? Because 444 copies is quite a lot, and if all got sold, this tape wouldn't be so extremely rare and expensive as it is now.
The photograph of KALM you see in the video was also scanned by me, just like the cover of the tape. The photograph is from SHOXX magazine, volume 61, from March 1998.
My copy of the tape was ripped by my great friend and amazing content creator Melokei Official, please check his channel out for lots of great indies melodic visual-kei!
