The Dark Souls series has left an immense impact on me. From the first game to the last, the depravity and darkness of these mysterious and decaying worlds have left their mark on my imagination. I know they've done the same for others, so much so that I've read time and time again about people who see the Souls series as a form of therapy. I was wondering what other people saw in these games, and wanted to know how people from other backgrounds than my own, people who struggled with especially hard circumstances, felt while playing these games. To the best of my ability, this video is the product of the exchanges I've had with people who view Dark Souls as something special - as not just another video game.
