This is my updated NordVPN Review in 2024. NordVPN is a well rounded VPN, and this review should help you figure out whether or not NordVPN could be the best choice for you and your situation.

So I've been using Nord VPN for over two years now. And after going through many updates, on one hand, Nord VPN continues to be a solid choice for people looking to unblock streaming services, or just stay safe when torrenting. But on the other hand, it's still missing some features on Apple devices, which is definitely a shame. But is it really a deal breaker? Well, in today's review, I'll be looking into all of that in order to help you figure out whether or not Nord VPN could be a good choice for you and your particular needs or situation. So the first thing we're going to go over is the logging policy and jurisdiction, Nord VPN has a transparent privacy policy, and they do promise to not collect any logs. And they do prove their claims and be third party independent audit reports that they've conducted throughout the years. And if that's not enough, even when a server had been compromised, such as in Finland in 2018, no user credentials were exposed since Nord VPN does not keep any logs. Also, immediately after that incident, Nord terminated their contract with the server provider and invited verse bright to run a prompt audit in order to spot any weaknesses in the server infrastructure as well as quickly fix any potential issues. And so nothing of the sort has happened again, ever since then, Nord VPN has also been conducting regular audits to make sure that they stay on top of everything. They also operate RAM only servers, which basically means that there are no physical drives, which leaves little to no room for data to be stored in set servers. So overall, Nord VPN Privacy Policy is one of the best in the industry, and the independent audit reports do backup their no logs claims, so you can be sure that your data is in safe hands with Nord VPN. Now in terms of speed, keep in mind that the speed tests may differ from one ISP to another. It also depends on your location and how far you are from the servers you're connecting to. Nord makes it so that you can do these tasks on any server without having to pick a specialized server, though you do have access to peer to peer specialty servers for maximum efficiency, while torrenting. As for streaming, I've tried unblocking multiple Netflix libraries like the Japanese and American ones. And it worked with no problems whatsoever. And it's important to note that this is in spite of Netflix's efforts to prevent VPNs. For example, you can use custom DNS servers for more parental controls on your router. Nord also offers DNS and ipv6 leak protection and having tested Nord VPN for potential leaks. As expected, there were no leaks whatsoever. So as you can tell, there are plenty of features for users to tinker with, and each has its own utility depending on what you're doing. Nord will also allow users to secure up to six devices per subscription, which is just about the industry standard, not to mention that the user interface in my opinion has the best design out of all the VPN I've used. I'm simply a fan of the world map design. So if you want to switch from 256 bit to 128 bit encryption, unfortunately, you don't have such granular options over your protocol settings. It's just meant to be a little bit simpler than that for the average user. And then as an added bonus, Nord is also very easy to use for beginners and has some advanced features for the more seasoned VPN users.
