Hey All, welcome to episode 16 of our RAM Promaster 2500 van build/conversion series. This is such an exciting day. Today we will take on the framing of our shower. This is a huge pivotal point for us as the shower is really anchor point for everything else in the van. Once the shower is in place, the benches and cabinets all get installed around it.

Our first thought was to frame the shower using ¾” plywood walls but, after not being able to figure out where we’d hide the plumbing, we chose to go with 2x3” framed walls….and we’re really glad we did. The walls are super solid….and the cavity in the wall gives us a place to install both plumbing and electrical runs. We thought that was worth the few inches lost in living space.

We will take you through all the steps we took in planning and framing the shower….and some of the frustrations we ran into. And if we can do it, YOU can do it .
