We learnt about identifying solid investment opportunities with quarterly earnings from Prabhakar Kudva in our last episode. Today, we'll understand how to find the exit points with case studies.

To begin with, Prabhakar provides two parameters for investors to identify the exit points. He believes that markets very quickly discount the trend in earnings. He believes that markets want surprise in earnings for stocks to continue to keep moving higher. Only a few stocks which deliver consistent 30% growth in earnings move higher.

Second is to keep an eye on peak margins and make an early exit. Prabhakar also highlights that one cannot wait for the bad earnings. Markets run on anticipation. One must keep anticipating earnings and exit investments accordingly.

He further explains his views on internet startups. He believes that to analyze these technology companies, we must have a different mindset. Traditional mindset doesn't work here as these companies invest all their revenues in building a brand in initial years. Once brand is established, there is an infinite growth possible. He advices investors to keep at least four to five year horizon to analyze such stocks.
