Nursing is no longer just about bedside care. It has evolved. Nurses can now explore other tracks, such as, education and research; all of which, strive to improve patient care. At IMH, nurses have many specialised career tracks to choose from: Clinical, Education, and Administration. New nursing career tracks have also been introduced: Nursing Quality, Nursing Informatics, and Nursing Research.
Psychiatric nurses face their fair share of challenges as they care for people with mental illness. However, their greatest reward is seeing their patients recover and reintegrate back into the community.
