Variety's FYC Fest hosted a roundtable discussion some of the most exciting screenwriters of 2020 including Judd Apatow (“The King of Staten Island”) joined screenwriters Kevin Willmott (“Da 5 Bloods”), Emerald Fennell (“Promising Young Woman”), Andy Siara (“Palm Springs”) and Aaron Sorkin (“The Trial of the Chicago 7″).

Together they tackled subjects like how the Trump Administration will influence future stories told on the screen, how they feel about the HBO Max's abrupt shift from theaters to their streaming platform and Apatow's new pandemic movie for Netflix. Plus Emerald Fennell, director and writer of "Promising Young Woman" confirms that her film was presented as a comedy.
