Detectives appeared to plant ideas in Pam Hupp's head while preparing for the second murder trial against Russ Faria (for the death of his wife Betsy Faria). Police audio reveals how Hupp ran with these suggestions and changed her story repeatedly about the night her friend Betsy was murdered.

Hupp has still escaped investigation in Betsy's unsolved murder. It was in Lincoln County. More than a year later, Hupp reportedly became nervous about my reporting on the case and shot and killed Louis Gumpenberger in an alleged plot to escape scrutiny. That happened in St. Charles County, where police and prosecutors caught on. Hupp is scheduled to stand trial for murder in June 2019.
