La Pelosa Beach, north Sardinia. 4K Drone. In terms of rankings, it is nearly always included among the top 10 Sardinian beaches. It is in the north of the island, close to Alghero and Sassari. We visited it in the end of June 2023 by making a day trip from Alghero. I found it a bit too overcrowded. We could only stay on the rock part of the beach, as for the sand section one needs a reservation (in high season) and usually it is fully booked. Nevertheless you can always access it if you say that you are going to stay on the rocks (thats what we did). Overall, there are similar or better beaches in the southern and eastern parts of the island (around Olbia - La Cinta and Cala Brandinchi) and Cagliari - Porto Giunco, Tuerredda), but also in the vicinty of Alghero in the northwest (I recommend Porto Ferro and Maria Pia). My top favourite is the southern coast of Sardinia, that is where I will go again (Cagliari).
