Is it possible to reconfigure brain networks after they have been damaged? Neurologist Mark D'Esposito, MD, shares the basis for network neuroscience, which investigates ways in which cognitive function is distributed across different networks. Our brain functions much like an airline network, with different hubs that play different roles. By targeting these hubs, scientists see a pathway to reconfiguring damaged networks.
