wa’z is a Japanese Kaiseki restaurant in Seattle’s Belltown area. Hiro Tawara, the chef and owner of wa’z, takes great care to make sure his diners sense the seasonality of each dish. He also ties his menu closely to Japanese traditional events. The result is a memorable meal of Japanese haute cuisine thoughtfully presented in kaiseki fashion.

Every month 11th is Japanese Restaurant Day to celebrate the fullness of Japanese food! Participating restaurants will offer special menus on each Japanese Restaurant Day now through March 2021.
