ALBANY - An appeals court has overturned the conviction of a Washington County man convicted of a triple murder back in 2012.
A jury convicted Matthew Slocum guilty of murdering his mother, stepfather and stepbrother in the Town of White Creek in 2011, setting fire to the home, then fled to New Hampshire.
Slocum appealed, claiming he was denied his right to an attorney during police questioning.
Three judges overturned the conviction and suppressed statements.
