I give a cool little analogy with a drawing as my introduction. I talk about how difficult it is for a male au pair to find a family as many families don't even know that male au pairs exist, some agencies don't accept applications from males and then some families don't think that male au pairs could be as good as a female au pair.

You must not give up if you're finding it difficult to find a host family. the right one will come. Stay positive! Get many childcare hours as this will make your profile more attractive to host families.

As a male in a female dominated field you're always going to be surrounded by girls. You'll always be the center of attention. Some people may question your masculinity because you're looking after children but don't pay any mind to those people.
