The opening all-at-once suit production comes from Twelve the Hard Way published by Darwin Ortiz in Lessons in Card Mastery (which incorporates a riffle shuffle production by Steve Freeman). The predecessor to this idea is a suit production by Ben Earl on his DVD set Past Midnight. The modern incarnation of the one-at-a-time suit production comes from Ricky Jay, who apparently found inspiration in one of Hofzinser's original routines. Pepe Carroll and Denis Behr have also made significant contributions in this area. Some of the card production sequences come from Darwin's Nine-Card Location published in Darwin Ortiz at the Card Table. The final re-ordering of the spades comes from God of Gamblers published by Darwin Ortiz in Cardshark and from The Return of the Ultimate Card Shark in Down Under Deals by Andrew Wimhurst. A few of the productions used are the Benzais Spin-Out Move, the Frank Thompson False Cut, the Friction Toss, and Joshua Jay's Dribblocation.
The inspiration for this video was my love of ASMR coupled with this video from Ricky Jay: [ Ссылка ]. I have no idea if people will find this relaxing or not -- I think some of the cards sliding against cards sounds are fairly harsh relative to the other sounds. Plus, there are some percussive bass sounds when I cut cards to the table. But maybe that's someone's cup of auditory tea.
