Embassy of India, Athens celebrated 5th International Day of Yoga on June 23, 2019 in the Municipality park of Nea Smyrni, Athens. It saw huge participation by yoga enthusiasts and general public. Major yoga schools of Athens demonstrated yoga aasanas and postures throughout the day. The evening functions was the main attraction which comprised opening remarks by Ambassador of India H.E. Ms. Shamma Jain, recital of kirtan by a group from Satyananda Yoga, Athens, a useful yoga performance by an expert from India and stunning kathak dance performance by an Indian dancer.
