It is understandable for Singaporeans to feel strongly about the Israel-Hamas conflict, but the "sensible thing to do" is to maintain relations with both the Israelis and Palestinians, PM Lee Hsien Loong said on Friday (Oct 20). He added that Singapore should provide humanitarian support to the civilian victims in Gaza as well as in Israel. Mr Lee was responding to questions from reporters near the end of his trip to attend the inaugural summit between leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
