We stayed in the town of Hurricane, which is a small, affordable, and safe town outside of Zion. It's about 30 minutes away, and they have restaurants, hotels, and Wal-Mart (which is great for stocking up on snacks and lunches for hiking!) This video features the entire hike from my point of view, so you can get an idea of what the trail looks like before you visit :)
