Yet another useful tool for your tracing of 2D objects and making them into a 3D model, the Mixed Curve available from the freeCAD Curves workbench. This tool allows you to create two sketches that say trace your 2D object from the side and top and then allows you to project those 2 curves into one in 3D space which fits the outline of the object exactly in 3D. We learn how to use this tool in Free CAD, how useful it is for tracing and understand how it works and what problems you may face and how to solve them. We then finish with a sneak preview of what we will be modelling with it as the demonstration.
