The Fender Vibratone, a Leslie speaker specifically made for electric guitars, was produced by Fender between 1967 and 1972. Its name was inspired by the original Leslie speaker created for the Hammond Organ back in 1941. Despite its association with electric guitars, the Vibratone was also utilized for vocals in numerous popular tracks. Essentially, the Vibratone was similar to the Leslie 16. One prominent demonstration of the Vibratone's unique sound can be heard in Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Cold Shot" song.
