In this video I made a top of the largest rodents on Earth. These are:
5. The Cape porcupine (Hystrix africaeaustralis)
4. The Eurasian beaver (Castor fiber)
3. The Lesser capybara (Hydrochoerus isthmius)
2. The North American beaver (Castor canadensis)
1. The Capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris)
There have been found fossils of extinct rodents much larger than the capybara. These are Phoberomys pattersoni and Josephoartigasia monesi.
