This is my first attempt at a ferrite core crystal radio. It cost around $40 in new components I had to buy. The build went well. There might be some tricks worth copying. I won't recommend other people build it, it has low sensitivity and the selectivity does not matter because there's nothing to select!
MATERIALS
- Ferrite Rod 100x10mm, manganese zinc magnetic permeability 1K
- 2x hold down blocks
- 32 AWG wire 0.2032mm; Windings: 10/60/40 in the SAME DIRECTION
- Resistor 10k-40k ohms
- Variable cap: 0 to 400 pF or 0 to 500pf
- Variable cap mount
- Brass washers
- Stainless screws
- Crystal earphone
- 1N34a diode
