After being baptized by John the Baptist, Jesus was led by the spirit into the Judaean desert, following 40 days and nights of fasting. Satan came to Jesus and attempted to entice him. But Jesus declined every allurement. Then Satan departed, and Jesus went back to Galilee, teaching and preaching about the kingdom of God.
