There's a Light (Over at the Frankenstein Place) from The Rocky Horror Picture Show is featured in The Rocky Horror Glee Show, the fifth episode of Season Two. It is sung by the New Directions with solos from Finn as Brad, Kurt as Riff Raff and Rachel as Janet.
In the episode, Kurt's solo was interrupted due to Carl storming in, although the official release of the song features his part.
It is the second song that is sung in the episode. The Glee Club is in the middle of a full dress rehearsal of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when they are abrubtly interrupted by Carl, who accuses Will of "messing with his woman," after finding out that Emma and Will had rehearsed Touch a Touch a Touch a Touch Me together in a very provocative manner. It is unknown how Carl found out about their "time" together.
LYRICS:
Rachel:
In the velvet darkness of the blackest night
Burning bright, there's a guiding star
No matter what or who, who you are
Rachel and Finn (New Directions):
There's a light (Over at the Frankenstein Place)
There's a light (Burning in the fireplace)
There's a light, light...
In the darkness of everybody's life
Kurt:
The darkness must go
Down the river of night's dreaming
Flow morphia slow
Let the sun and light come streaming
Into my life, into my life
Rachel and Finn (New Directions):
There's a light (Over at the Frankenstein Place)
There's a light (Burning in the fireplace)
Rachel and Finn with New Directions:
There's a light, light...
Rachel and Finn:
In the darkness of everybody's life
