It’s just a simple chip shot… all you have to do is land the ball on the green, and let it roll up to the flag for your easy par…right? That’s right, until… you shank it. You hit a shank in the short game area for one of two reasons. You have the face too open, or the path is exposing the hosel of the club. Michael Breed explains both of these scenarios, and provides simple drills to fix them both. Don’t fear the shank, understand it, and solve the problem.
