Drawing on her many years of leadership in the Church, as well as her extensive work with immigrant and refugee families, Sr. Norma will tackle the ethical dilemmas of our current immigration policies, with particular emphasis on the effects of family separation at the US Mexican border, the lived experience of refugee families, as well as the challenges of the politicization of this vulnerable population. Considered the “Mother Teresa of South Texas,” she is a Missionary of Jesus and was ranked at No. 40 on Fortune’s list of the world’s greatest leaders.
